REGULAR ACTIVITIES
Our new term starts on Saturday January 14th 2012. Rehearsals take place every Saturday morning (except half-term weekend) from 10.00 to 12.30 with a half hour break for coffee from 11.00-11.30.
Theory sessions for members are held from 9.00-9.45. Before attending, please check with the secretary (either by email to ylsstrings@gmail.com or via the contact page) that a session is running.

SPECIAL EVENTS
COBER HILL RESIDENTIAL WEEKEND
YLSS runs a residential course during the Spring Bank Holiday weekend at Cober Hill near Scarborough. In 2012 this will run from Friday 1st June to Sunday 3rd, with an additional optional Study Day on Monday 4th. The brochure and booking form can be downloaded here.
Our biennial commission of new music.
SUMMER STUDY DAY
YLSS organises a study day during the summer holidays; last year the focus was on Baroque Music.
LECTURES and PRESENTATIONS
These occasional sessions may cover topics of general musical interest.
We sometimes hold events in collaboration with other organisations.
